Office & Hospitality Coordinator

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
OFFICE & HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR

Come join the staff of Woolman Hill, a place of welcome and wonder, curiosity and connection, tranquility and transformation. We are seeking a warm and dedicated individual, with an appreciation for spirituality, diversity, and simple living, to serve as Office & Hospitality Coordinator.

Woolman Hill, a Quaker retreat center in Deerfield, MA, provides simple, comfortable facilities for individual retreats and group gatherings, and offers programs which nurture spiritual growth and foster the values and practice of peace-making, simplicity, integrity, equality, social responsibility, and stewardship of the earth.

The Coordinator takes primary responsibility for office administration, hospitality management, hosting and facility coordination. We seek a detail-oriented person who is able to grasp the big picture, is proactive and independent, as well as collaborative and able to take direction. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required. Proficiency in Google Drive/Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred; familiarity with WordPress and/or QuickBooks is a bonus. Familiarity with Quaker values and practices is a big plus.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a rural atmosphere with a facility full of charm and sometimes frustrating idiosyncrasies. They will be comfortable learning and operating within current systems, as well as helping to assess and implement improvements that retain the unique character of this place. They might also bring experience in IT support, HR management, development, house-keeping, grounds-keeping and/or cooking.

Since we are a small staff, the position requires versatility and adaptability, as well as willingness and ability to work irregular hours including some weekends and evenings. Physical demands include traversing uneven terrain, accessing multiple indoor spaces, lifting and carrying supplies, and working in varied indoor and outdoor environments under a variety of weather conditions.

Full-time (35 hours/week), starting salary is $27/hour. Benefits include flexible schedule, retirement plan, generous paid time off, and a beautiful worksite. Healthcare benefits are available to full-time staff.
