PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Step into the in-between.

We are living in a liminal space — a threshold between the world as it was before the pandemic and the “new normal” we are creating together. This retreat falls as we mark 5 years of living with Covid-19. In that time, we’ve experienced crisis after crisis with hardly a moment to reflect on how any of it is changing us. So much has changed in our world since 2020. This retreat offers a sacred pause to reflect on how these years have changed us and our world, and to discern our path forward with intention. In the spirit of the Quaker understanding of “continuing revelation”, we’ll explore what wisdom is being revealed to us through our experiences.

Through contemplative practices and interactive activities, we’ll explore questions like:

    • What have you been through?

    • Where are you going?

    • What will you carry into the new tomorrow?

    • What will you leave behind?

The past few years have changed us all. This is your chance to process those changes, discover your inner wisdom, and find hope and encouragement for the journey ahead.

Even if it hasn’t always been easy, you’ve grown. Let’s metabolize those lessons and step into the new tomorrow together.

ROOM & BOARD
Our 19th-century farmhouse has hand-hewn beams and wide pine floors, with simple lodging (typically double occupancy) with shared bathrooms. The meetinghouse and the first floor of the main building are wheelchair accessible. Our rustic cabins have electricity, woodstoves and outhouses. We serve nourishing, home-cooked meals and always offer vegetarian options. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. Part of the community building at each retreat includes the joyful sharing of meal chores and final clean-up.
