RETREAT CENTER COORDINATOR

Woolman Hill, a Quaker retreat center in Deerfield, MA, provides simple, comfortable facilities for individual retreats and group gatherings, and offers programs which nurture spiritual growth and foster the values and practice of peace-making, simplicity, integrity, equality, social responsibility, and stewardship of the earth.
The Coordinator takes primary responsibility for office administration, hosting, and facility coordination. We seek a detail-oriented person who is able to grasp the big picture, is proactive and independent, as well as collaborative and able to take direction.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive/Workspace and familiarity with WordPress and QuickBooks is preferred.
- Since we are a small staff, the position requires versatility and adaptability, as well as willingness and ability to work irregular hours.
- Familiarity with Quaker values and practices is a big plus.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable learning and operating within current systems, as well as helping to assess and implement improvements.
- They might also bring interest in IT support, HR management, grounds-keeping and/or cooking.
- Physical demands include traversing uneven terrain, accessing multiple indoor spaces, lifting and carrying supplies, and working in varied indoor and outdoor environments under a variety of weather conditions.
Full-time position (35 hours/week). Starting salary is equivalent to $26-27/hour. Benefits include retirement plan, healthcare benefits, generous paid time off, and a beautiful worksite. Residence on-site may be a possibility; the compensation arrangement is dependent on whether residence is included. Flexible schedule involves some weekend and evening hours.
